Ntiqüe Syaw Ner (/ntiq˔/ /sjaw/ [main] [bias]) is a subtropical Town located in Ed-95wun Zone, Jaz̄omaka District, within the Federation of Alveria.

The name Ntiqüe Syaw Ner is derived from the Wood Elvish language, as Ntiqüe Syaw Ner was founded by Zèbêv Tumrodu, who was culturaly Wood Elven.

Climate

Ntiqüe Syaw Ner has a yearly average temperature of 23°C (73°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 29°C (84°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 17°C (62°F). Ntiqüe Syaw Ner receives an average of 76 cm/y (29 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Ntiqüe Syaw Ner covers an area of nearly 6 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 4414 m (14481 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Ntiqüe Syaw Ner was founded durring the early 14th century in winter of the year 1348, by Zèbêv Tumrodu. The establishment of Ntiqüe Syaw Ner was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Ntiqüe Syaw Ner's construction back out of the project. Zèbêv Tumrodu pushed on reguardles, and Ntiqüe Syaw Ner was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Ntiqüe Syaw Ner was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the early 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Ntiqüe Syaw Ner is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature delicute timber framework hidden behind layer upon layer of finly ground plaster bleached to an almost glossy white sheen, with green clay tiled roofs and decorative brass-leafed trim. Even the smallest, poorest looking structures appear to be expencive thanks to the extreem elegence of the organic shapes and paterns going into their lofty, spire-y, vagly gothic designs. The more well off folks live in identicle homes, save for even shiner trim and a more whimsical appearance to their structures flowing forms.

Ntiqüe Syaw Ner is buildings are arranged arround a network of restrictive cobblestone streets which form a grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town is protected by a humble stone fence which is tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. Ntiqüe Syaw Ner's peasent-grade are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

Ntiqüe Syaw Ner is, in a word, disorder. People seem to be allowed to do as they please with little harmoney to anything. It feels less like a town, and more like a spot people just happened to place their homes. Yet there are small elements here and there which show the underlying structure of the community. It’s just so complex, organic, and flowing one can only understand what is a piece of the puzzle, but not what its neighbors are.

Civic Infrastructure

Ntiqüe Syaw Ner has an animal control department which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the control, impoundment, and disposition of animals.

Ntiqüe Syaw Ner has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Ntiqüe Syaw Ner. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Ntiqüe Syaw Ner's parks.

Ntiqüe Syaw Ner has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Ntiqüe Syaw Ner.

Ntiqüe Syaw Ner has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Ntiqüe Syaw Ner's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Ntiqüe Syaw Ner has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Ntiqüe Syaw Ner's natural decorations nor waterways.

Ntiqüe Syaw Ner has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

Ntiqüe Syaw Ner's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is inspired by the natural world, characterized by sinuous, sculptural, organic shapes, arches, curving lines, and sensual ornamentation. Common motifs included stylized versions of leaves, flowers, vines, insects, animals, and other natural elements. Decorative elements found on the inside and outside of buildings include intricate mosaic work, curved windows, and decorative trim work. .

In Ntiqüe Syaw Ner rain occurs in reverse with water pooling up from the earth then falling into the skies to from clouds, this unsettles every visitor that sees it.

The Sasquatch near Ntiqüe Syaw Ner are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.

Ntiqüe Syaw Ner's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves sacrificing an animal to channel Abjuration energies of tier 2 via guttural bellowing.

History

Ntiqüe Syaw Ner is still bloodied by a recent violent conflict. A crushing bandit raid, a lost siege, getting caught at the periphery of a major battle, or some other calamity has inflicted severe damage on the place. Some communities may suffer a longer-term version of this, their youths lost in a grinding, endless battle against some perpetual threat.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century, Ntiqüe Syaw Ner was attacked by soldiers from another nation, waging a greater campaign. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Ntiqüe Syaw Ner lost 130 people, 297 livestock, and 82 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 178, when members of Ntiqüe Syaw Ner's militia enacted an operation to locate a specific spy. The operation was complicated by the militia had access to far less resources than expected. The conflict ended with pitched battle between both forces, which ended in a stalemate for Ntiqüe Syaw Ner's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Ntiqüe Syaw Ner's bards, historians, and legend keepers.

History
